MAMIYA Super 23 with MAMIYA-Sekor 100mm Lens and 6x9 film back - Medium Format Press Camera

Sorry, this item has sold.

This Mamiya Super 23 is in great cosmetic condition and great working condition but it has not been film tested. The Mamiya-Sekor 100mm f/3.5 lens is in great condition and all the speeds seem accurate and was recently repaired and back to working order. The aperture settings are f/3.5 - f/32 and shutter speeds range from 1 second - 1/500th, plus Bulb. The viewfinder is nice and bright and also seems accurate. Comes with a Mamiya 6x9 roll film adapter so you will get insanely large negatives. There are other film back available if you prefer 6x6 or 6x4.5. I will also send a few rolls of film so you can start shooting. Unfortunately, this camera does not have a light meter so you will need a handheld meter. Let me know if you have any questions.

Camera info:

The Mamiya Press is a line of medium-format rangefinder system camera manufactured by Mamiya. The first model was introduced in 1960, and the final model was discontinued in the 1970s. It was targeted at the professional press photography market, and a wide array of accessories was offered. The maximum image size that can be captured is 6 cm × 9 cm, but images can be taken in a number of different formats and using several types of film. All of the lenses have leaf shutters, which are released on the lens itself, not through the body as is typical with most cameras. The shutter is typically triggered from one of several models of removable grips, all of which have a built-in release cable. The lenses also have flash sync terminals. The camera lacks an internal dark slide, so one has to be inserted into the film holder before changing the lens.

Mamiya 23 Standard
The 23 Standard was a version of the original without the rear bellows introduced in 1965. The name was changed to reflect the camera's ability to use 2×3 film (with the right film holder).

Camera came as described and in beautiful shape! But unfortunately it was not tested to it's fully extent the rollers did not work well, they were not spreading the developer solution across the film so I had to buy my own rollers which were an extra $35 plus shipping. Camera works beautifully now but it's just disappointing that I had to wait another two weeks to even begin using the camera to its fullest extent. Now they did offer to send me rollers they had lying around but I would have to purchase something else from the shop which sounds bogus it should be free its not my mistake, so I asked for maybe a coupon for a discount on my next purchase from the shop to help compensate for the money spent on the new rollers but that never came to an agreement.

Shipped & received in record time! Thanks a million!
